Professional Experience

Throughout my 25+ year career in education, I've had the privilege of serving in diverse roles across multiple provinces:

Mathematics Teacher

Taught every grade level of mathematics from 7-12.

Resource Specialist

Provided targeted support for students with learning differences.

Early Elementary Teacher

Taught foundational literacy and numeracy in inclusive, play-based environments and used phonics-based and whole-language approaches to support early reading and writing.

Learning Centre Educator

Provided intensive one-on-one and small group instruction for students with profound and complex learning needs. Supported verbal and non-verbal learners with multiple diagnoses including global developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, severe dyslexia, and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Principal

Led diverse school communities with a focus on inclusion, equity, and wellness.

Specialized Settings

Taught in secure facilities through the IWK and Department of Justice, adapting curriculum for students facing complex challenges.
